JOHN STEWART

I have worked as a ceramicist for more than 35 years during which time I have explored and developed a wide range of ceramic practices and techniques – from wheel thrown vessels through to sculptural and architectural forms. My current work continues to investigate form and surface which suggest both the footprint of civilization and the patinas of a drought dominated continent.
I have taught ceramics at a tertiary level for the past 25 years and am currently Head Teacher of the Arts & Media Faculty at Lismore TAFE managing programs in Ceramics, Visual Art and Film Making.
